Iran analysis – OPEWI report for ELIAMEP

📢 New Policy Paper
📰 ELIAMEP has launched a new Policy Paper collection, “The Iran Reckoning: Essays on a War the West Was Not Ready For”, offering analysis of a highly consequential geopolitical crisis.
🪖 The third policy paper in the collection, titled “The Strategy Iran Built for Forty Years – and the War the West Still Doesn’t Understand”, argues that Iran has developed a four-pillar asymmetric doctrine that makes military confrontation structurally intolerable for Western powers by imposing high human, financial, and political costs. It also examines how strategic miscalculations and the ensuing protracted conflict have increased the risk of a more perilous strategic landscape, including a potential acceleration of nuclear proliferation in the region.
