TV debate – Europe’s new military service

On FRANCE 24 last night (27NOV) to debate this: “Getting ready to fight back? France introduces military service as Russian threat looms”: https://lnkd.in/dBtZuHSz

In a nutshell: Macron’s service is voluntary, grounded in France and not for dangerous operations and it will last 10 months. Goal: 50.000 young people by 2030, which is below 10% of that 18-19 yrs old group. Not a societal transformation then but preparing society for worst case scenarios.
